Fast forward to Caracas, Venezuela—March 9, 1992. Air traffic control spots an unidentified aircraft entering their airspace. The pilot radios in, confused and disoriented, asking: “Where are we?” When told he was over Venezuela, he reportedly gasped, “We were headed to Miami… in 1955.”
